North City Water District

About

North City Water District is a special purpose water district that has been a member of the North City neighborhood since the early 1950s—back when the first water reservoir was installed northeast of Les Schwab Tire Center. The Water District has been an active part of the Business Community for over 20 years, having established the Annual Tree Lighting atop the District’s water reservoir, and served as a regular sponsor of the annual North City Jazz Walk every August. The District’s Administrative Headquarters was moved to the North City Neighborhood in the mid 1990s. Their core areas of focus include:

  • Water Quality
  • System maintenance
  • Education
  • Conservation
  • Community

North City Water District offers a variety of services to the community including a low income discount, assistance with water conservation, a meeting room for non-profit associations, regular participation with information booths at local community festivals, and fast, efficient permitting for contractors and developers.
